Is Shar Evil Baldurs Gate? ›

Shar, also known as Nightsinger, is a neutral evil greater deity of darkness, the night, loss and forgetfulness. She is worshipped by those who deal in the night, who hate the light and who feel bitterness and loss.

The depths of Shar's evil were too extreme to be described by words. She was deeply twisted and perverse, a being of ceaseless, petty hate and jealousy. She plotted from the shadows to undermine all creation.

Summary. Shar's evil hits you on a personal level, twisting and manipulating minds. Bhaal is a straightforward villain, the god of murder with civilization-ending plots. Shar's cult has a more structured and subtle evil, while Bhaal is chaotic and immediate.
