What is the least busy day at Busch Gardens? ›

Visit during the weekday: Although the park typically has lighter traffic on weekdays (and this can vary), Tuesdays and Wednesdays generally tend to have lighter crowds and shorter wait lines.

No outside food, beverages, or coolers are allowed to be brought into Busch Gardens, with the exception of bottled water or refillable water bottles. Exceptions may be made for guests with special dietary needs, including food allergies and baby food/formula.

Hard and soft cooler, glass containers, bags of food, picnic style meals including but not limited to sandwiches, sodas and alcohol may not be taken into the park. Bottles of water (one per person) and single-serve sized snacks (approx. 2 oz or less) are allowed to be brought into the park.

The animals are great, the staff are top notch, the shows are worthwhile but the best deal is the dining plan. We bought our tickets on line and included the dining plan. We walked in at 9 am and out at 7pm and did not spend a dime on food or drink.

It takes about an hour to drive to Busch Gardens, and the ideal time to arrive is between 10am and 12 noon in the first hours after opening. (You want to allocate some time for parking as well.)

Can you bring a backpack to Busch Gardens, Tampa? ›

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has increased security procedures, which may result in slight delays while entering the park. As a part of this process: All bags, backpacks and packages are subject to inspection prior to entering the park.

In keeping with the family image of Busch Gardens, guests must wear appropriate clothing while in the park. Shirts, shoes and pants must be work at all times. Clothing with suggestive or explicit language or insulting statements are not allowed.

Parking rates start at $30 for Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. The parking fee covers cars, motorcycles, trucks, recreation vehicles and campers. Purchase general parking or preferred parking in advance on our upgrades page, or upgrade to a Silver, Gold, or Platinum Annual Pass to park for free.

Of course, to meander around the park at a leisurely pace and truly see everything, we recommend two full days at Busch Gardens Tampa. Just be sure to prioritize your time – between the rides, shows, attractions, and sheer number of animal exhibits, you will find your day goes by quickly here!

The conventional wisdom is that mid-January through March tend to feature smaller crowds (and potentially lower prices) at theme parks, as well as the period between Labor Day and Thanksgiving. In general, weekdays are the mellowest, especially Tuesday through Thursday.

Winter, late spring, and fall weekdays typically have the lowest crowds. Because most of the attractions at Busch Gardens Tampa are outdoors, a day with extended inclement weather will often reduce crowd levels.

Depends on when you are going? One day is enough to have a lot of fun but you should try at least 2 days, if possible. It would be nicer and you could ride your favorite rides again. :) I do have to say, I have walked by their children's area many times and it looks very impressive!
